This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Trader consensus reflects a wide-open race for the 2026 Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter Award, with Brent Rooker holding a narrow 40% implied probability edge over Shohei Ohtani, Kerry Carpenter, and a crowded field of DH-eligible sluggers at 39.5%, driven by their strong 2025 campaigns—Rooker’s 30 homers and .814 OPS across 626 primary DH plate appearances, Ohtani’s elite 55-homer, .392 OBP dominance despite his fifth straight win last year, and Carpenter’s power output in limited action. The tight clustering underscores parity in recent OPS, RBI production, and wRC+ among primary DHs and versatile corner outfielders/first basemen like Jarren Duran, Starling Marte, and Marcell Ozuna, with no dominant preseason favorite emerging amid full-health rosters and spring training momentum.
