This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Preseason positional power rankings from FanGraphs have kept trader consensus tightly bunched for the 2026 Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter Award, with top projected DH units like the Dodgers (.282 AVG, Ohtani), Astros (.277, Alvarez), and Athletics (.265, Rooker) showing minimal separation in wOBA and offensive output. Yandy Diaz leads early with a .600 batting average through opening weekend, but Shohei Ohtani (.167 AVG) and Brent Rooker lag in tiny samples, underscoring the race's volatility. Prioritizing full-season factors like 2025 production—Rooker's 30 home runs, Diaz's contact skills, Ohtani's MVP pedigree—and health amid no recent injured list moves, the competitive field favors consistent power and RBI accumulation in high-leverage spots.
