Zink's local Sarasota roots offer home-crowd support and familiarity, potentially offsetting Smith's stronger early-2026 form including a Cleveland Challenger final; both have limited clay results this year with no standout advantages. No injury reports or withdrawals in the past 48 hours ahead of the April 6 opener—late weather delays or fitness updates could sway odds in this evenly balanced first-round battle.
