Soto cruised past qualifier Vladyslav Orlov 6-1 6-2 in 58 minutes yesterday, converting all six break points with 76% first-serve points won after capturing the Bucaramanga Challenger title last week (16-6 YTD on clay). Magadan, buoyed by home crowd support, eked out a revenge win over seeded Stefan Kozlov 6-3 7-6(7) but struggled with just 2-of-7 break conversions in a grueling two-hour battle, underscoring his 3-7 season record and limited clay experience versus Soto's career 119-72 clay mark in their head-to-head debut.
