Both players exited early from last week's Morelia Challenger on hard courts—Hernandez losing in the first round to Andres Andrade, Mejia falling in semis to Borna Gojo—leaving form even entering this rematch after Hernandez's three-set upset over Mejia in Morelia 2025. No injury reports or withdrawals noted; odds could tip toward Hernandez with strong baseline rallies and local support, or Mejia via experience in Challenger main draws and return prowess.
