Faria, ranked No. 157, earlier dispatched qualifier Joao Goncalves Ceolin 6-2, 6-2, showcasing dominant form with minimal sets dropped. Dellien, No. 159, grinded three-set wins over Joao Reis Da Silva and Facundo Diaz Acosta, preserving his strong clay baseline game but revealing potential fatigue. Despite Dellien's prior head-to-head victory over Faria in last October's Campinas Challenger, the younger player's momentum, efficiency, and slight ranking edge justify the favoritism amid no reported injuries.
