Rockstar Games delivered a 27-minute “Extended Look” at Grand Theft Auto VI on August 27, 2026, premiering first on Netflix before hitting YouTube, marking the studio’s most substantial official footage drop since Trailer 2 in May 2025. Captured entirely in-engine on PlayStation 5, the presentation showcased expanded Vice City environments, new character details for Lucia and Jason, and reinforced the November 19 console launch. This Netflix partnership and summer marketing ramp-up—following June pre-order openings at $80 standard and $100 Ultimate Editions—have sustained hype while signaling Rockstar’s preference for event-style reveals over frequent drops. Traders are now watching for a potential launch trailer in the weeks before November 19, as historical Rockstar campaigns typically intensify with pre-loads and final marketing pushes; any delay or additional leaks could shift sentiment around whether another major trailer arrives before release.
