Romania's ongoing political crisis following the May 2026 no-confidence vote that ousted Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has left party negotiations fragmented, with President Nicușor Dan conducting consultations to identify a nominee capable of securing parliamentary support. This uncertainty sustains the tight race between leading contenders Eugen Tomac and Alexandru Nazare, whose advisory and ministerial roles have kept them prominent in discussions over a potential technocratic cabinet. Broader divisions among pro-European parties, combined with the need to rebuild a governing majority without snap elections, limit any single candidate's momentum and elevate the possibility that late shifts in coalition arithmetic or official designation could alter the current trader consensus reflected in the market pricing.

If no such Prime Minister takes office by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Romania; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
