Mumbai Indians lead trader consensus at 27.5% implied probability for the IPL 2026 title despite a 6-wicket loss to Delhi Capitals yesterday, where Sameer Rizvi's 90 off 51 anchored the chase, buoyed by their retained core of Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Tilak Varma—arguably the league's strongest Indian lineup—plus strategic auction trades and Quinton de Kock's return, earning endorsements from experts like Michael Vaughan and Aakash Chopra. Punjab Kings sit second at 15.5% after two wins, including a powerplay blitz chasing Chennai Super Kings' 209, leveraging a massive 21-player retention, Shreyas Iyer's leadership, and bowling from Marco Jansen and Yuzvendra Chahal. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (14.5%) and table-topping Rajasthan Royals (11.5%) show early NRR promise (+2.907 and +2.233), but MI's historical edge and depth differentiate in this wide-open field with just 1-2 matches per team.
