Fabiano Caruana tops trader consensus at 31.5% implied probability for the 2026 FIDE Candidates winner, fueled by his world No. 2 Elo rating of 2804 and dominant Sinquefield Cup victory in August 2024, signaling peak classical form amid the ongoing qualification cycle via FIDE Circuit points, World Cup, and Grand Swiss paths. Hikaru Nakamura follows at 19.5%, bolstered by steady top-five rankings and bullet blitz prowess translating to tournament resilience. Rising prodigies Javokhir Sindarov (15.5%) and Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu (12.5%) gain traction from youth momentum—Sindarov's World Junior title and Olympiad upsets, Pragg's team gold and recent elite scalps—while Anish Giri and Wei Yi round out leaders on consistent circuit performances, though no spots are locked with the two-year cycle just beginning.
