**Abelardo de la Espriella holds a commanding lead in trader consensus for securing the most votes from Antioquia in Colombia’s June 21 presidential runoff against Iván Cepeda Castro.** Antioquia, a traditional conservative stronghold that delivered de la Espriella roughly 54% in the May 31 first round compared to Cepeda’s 25%, has long favored right-leaning candidates on security and economic issues. De la Espriella’s outsider campaign emphasizing hardline anti-crime measures, backed by endorsements from former presidents Uribe and Duque plus evangelical networks, has reinforced this regional edge ahead of the tight national contest. Cepeda’s effort to consolidate left-leaning and centrist support faces structural headwinds in the department. While late turnout swings or unexpected events could narrow margins, the first-round results and Antioquia’s consistent electoral patterns underpin the current pricing.
