California's 3rd Congressional District nonpartisan top-two primary on June 2 features eight candidates after redistricting under Proposition 50 shifted the seat from Republican-leaning to Democratic-favoring, incorporating much of northern Sacramento County toward Lake Tahoe and awarding Kamala Harris a 10-point 2024 presidential margin. Incumbent Kevin Kiley is not running, opening the field to Democrats Ami Bera—leading fundraising with nearly $1.9 million cash on hand as of late March—Chris Bennett, Lyndon Cervantes, and Heidi Hall, alongside Republicans Christine Bish, Laura Koscki, and Robb Tucker, plus Green Party's Chris Richardson. No recent polling exists, but trader consensus reflects the district's new partisan lean amid early voting underway, with top-two advancers facing off in November.
