Belgium enters the 2026 World Cup Group G as the clear favorite, backed by a deep squad featuring Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, and Thibaut Courtois, plus strong recent form that included an unbeaten UEFA qualifying campaign and a 5-2 friendly win over the United States. Egypt sits second in trader pricing thanks to Mohamed Salah’s influence and an unbeaten CAF qualifying run, positioning the Pharaohs ahead of Iran despite the latter’s solid defensive record and productive Asian campaign led by Mehdi Taremi. New Zealand trails significantly after dominating OFC qualifying but faces a steep step up against the group’s established sides. The expanded format and June fixtures in the United States add context, though no major last-minute roster changes have altered the hierarchy.
