SpaceX secured a binding option in April 2026 to acquire AI coding startup Cursor for $60 billion later this year or pay $10 billion for ongoing collaboration on next-generation coding and knowledge-work models. The agreement leverages xAI’s Colossus supercomputer for Cursor’s model training, aligning the companies’ efforts to advance artificial intelligence capabilities in software development. Recent reporting indicates SpaceX plans to exercise the option roughly 30 days after its anticipated IPO, positioning a potential close in July and reinforcing trader consensus around the high implied probability of completion.

This market will resolve to "Yes" if it is officially announced that Cursor will be, has been, or is being acquired by or merged with SpaceX, by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
