Incumbent Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez leads fundraising with $4.5 million raised and $3.4 million cash on hand as of late March in Washington's competitive 3rd Congressional District, bolstering her frontrunner status ahead of the August 4 top-two primary. State Senate Minority Leader John Braun follows with $1.2 million raised, gaining traction from a late-April NRCC poll showing him ahead 41%-34% among likely voters in this R+2 district Donald Trump carried in 2024. Candidate filing closed May 8, finalizing an 11-candidate field including Democratic challengers Brent Hennrich, Austin Braswell, and Troy Rasband; Republicans Lawrence Kellogg, John Roco, and Wadi Yakhour; plus independents and third-party entrants. The top two advance to the November general, with Cook Political Report rating the race a Toss-up. Voter turnout via mail-in ballots begins July 17.
