Incumbent Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez leads in fundraising with over $3.4 million cash on hand as of late March, positioning her strongly in Washington's top-two primary for the 3rd Congressional District on August 4, but faces a crowded field including Republican state Senate Minority Leader John Braun, whom former President Trump endorsed in mid-April. A late-April NRCC poll of likely general election voters showed Braun ahead 41%-34% over Perez amid 26% undecideds, signaling trader focus on vote-splitting risks from Democratic challengers like Brent Hennrich and Austin Braswell, plus Republicans Lawrence Kellogg and John Roco. The R+2 district, rated a Cook Toss-up after Perez's narrow 2024 win, awaits primary results to set the November general matchup, with ballots mailing in July.
