Incumbent Democrat Chrissy Houlahan seeks re-election in Pennsylvania’s 6th district, which encompasses Chester County and parts of Berks County including Reading. The seat has shifted toward Democrats in recent cycles, with Houlahan winning 56 percent in 2024 and securing her party’s nomination without opposition in the May 2026 primary. Republican nominee Marty Young, a veteran and business executive, advanced from his primary but faces structural disadvantages in a district rated Solid Democratic by forecasters. Trader consensus pricing the Democratic Party above 93 percent reflects the incumbent’s fundraising edge, name recognition, and the district’s suburban voting patterns. A late scandal, sharp national Republican surge, or unusually low Democratic turnout could narrow the gap, though such shifts remain low-probability events before the November general election.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
