The Odyssey holds the market edge at 28% amid Christopher Nolan’s July release posting over $1.6 billion worldwide and strong critical notices for its faithful yet cinematic take on Homer, with the director also credited on the screenplay. The Invite sits close behind at 25% on the strength of its A24 fall campaign, Rashida Jones and Will McCormack’s crackling dialogue, and an impeccable ensemble that has drawn early guild attention. Project Hail Mary (6.7%) benefits from Ryan Gosling’s draw and Drew Goddard’s adaptation of the Andy Weir novel, though its earlier release and more commercial tone leave it further back. The Black Ball and titles such as Dune: Part Three trail as traders weigh literary pedigree, box-office momentum, and the still-distant January nominations and March ceremony.
