Mohamed Salah’s impending free-agent status after Liverpool mutually agreed to end his contract a year early has fueled the Saudi Pro League’s commanding 67% trader consensus, reflecting the league’s proven ability to attract elite players in their mid-30s with lucrative, short-term deals. Reports since late 2025 have consistently named Al Hilal and Al Ittihad as leading suitors, with Saudi officials publicly expressing confidence in a move this summer. Serie A sits at 28.5% on the back of Roma’s strong interest and Salah’s prior success there, while MLS at 14% draws from ownership ties like San Diego FC and a desire for a high-profile U.S. landing spot. Lower probabilities for La Liga, Bundesliga, and others stem from salary demands and competitive level concerns that make Europe less likely than the financial certainty of Saudi Arabia.
