Corbin Carroll holds a commanding position in the MLB triples race due to his league-leading total of 16 three-baggers through early September, a margin of eight or more over the nearest pursuers amid a season defined by his elite speed, gap power, and consistent extra-base production for the Diamondbacks. Recent form has reinforced this edge, as Carroll continues to convert opportunities into triples at a rate far exceeding league norms while key challengers like Otto Lopez, Chandler Simpson, and Xavier Edwards post far lower single-digit totals. With the regular season nearing its close, the market's overwhelming consensus reflects the difficulty of closing such a gap in the remaining games. Potential shifts remain possible through a late injury to Carroll, an extended hot streak by multiple contenders, or unusual playing-time adjustments, though the current statistical separation leaves limited realistic paths for an upset.
