Bryan Reynolds holds a commanding position in the MLB doubles race with 39 two-baggers through 155 games, well clear of the next closest pursuers at 36-37. His consistent gap-to-gap approach and strong on-base skills have produced extra-base hits at a steady clip for the Pirates, including multiple doubles in recent series. With the regular season winding down in late September and only a handful of games left for most clubs, the remaining schedule offers limited opportunities for challengers such as Alec Burleson, Rafael Devers, Wilyer Abreu, or Brandon Nimmo to close the deficit. Trader consensus reflected in current pricing treats Reynolds’ lead as the decisive factor, while the long tail of lower-priced names accounts for the slim chance of an improbable late surge or tie scenario.
