**In Georgia's 1st Congressional District, an open Republican-leaning seat (Cook PVI R+8) rated Solid or Safe Republican by forecasters including the Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato's Crystal Ball, the general election on November 3, 2026, features Republican nominee James Kingston against Democrat Amanda Hollowell.** Kingston secured the GOP nomination outright with 52.4% in the May 19 primary, consolidating support ahead of the general. The district's partisan composition and consistent Republican advantages in recent cycles support trader expectations of a majority for the leading candidate on election night. Georgia's runoff rule requires over 50% to avoid a December 1 contest between the top two finishers. With limited third-party or independent impact and no recent polling or events indicating a narrow race, the 71.9% implied probability for an outright winner reflects the structural edge for the Republican nominee in a district that has favored that party by comfortable margins. No late developments have materially altered this positioning.
