Trader consensus prices Rory McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama atop the FedEx Cup Playoffs winner market at 17.5% implied probabilities, with a deep cluster from 15.1% (Højgaard, Straka, Gerard) to 15.0% (Kim, Gotterup, Hisatsune, Berger, Yellamaraju, Lee, MacIntyre), highlighting intense competition and no runaway favorite ahead of the Tour Championship. Scheffler's standings lead (2431 FedExCup points, slim 37-point edge over Fitzpatrick after his PGA Championship win and Cadillac Championship runner-up) sits at 12.5%, as traders weigh golf's volatility across remaining signature events, majors, and playoff qualifiers. McIlroy's Quail Hollow affinity (Truist Championship site, past winner) and Matsuyama's elite ball-striking fuel their edge, while mid-pack momentum from recent strong finishes keeps the field parity tight.
