Drake Maye has posted 136 rushing yards on 23 carries through four 2026 games with zero rushing touchdowns, building on 450 rushing yards and four scores across 17 games in 2025. The mobile quarterback continues to generate scramble yards, highlighted by 54 in a Week 4 win over Buffalo, though the Patriots' scheme under head coach Mike Vrabel and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels favors designed runs for the backfield over quarterback keepers. Turnovers and a middling passing start have kept New England at 2-2, with the remaining schedule and any late-season usage shifts around goal-line situations likely shaping final totals.
