Lula maintains a commanding lead in Rio Grande do Norte first-round polling for the October 2026 presidential election, with recent surveys from Real Time Big Data and Exatus showing him at 47-56% against Flávio Bolsonaro at 27-29% and all other candidates in single digits. This positioning reflects the state's historical preference for PT candidates in presidential contests, reinforced by Lula's incumbency and regional alignments on social programs. Opposition support remains fragmented across right-leaning and minor-party names, limiting any single challenger's ability to overtake the plurality. Trader pricing at 97% for Lula as first-place finisher aligns with these persistent gaps in Northeast state data, though late developments such as turnout shifts among undecided voters or unexpected opposition consolidation ahead of election day could narrow the margin.
