Lula maintains a commanding lead in Pernambuco for first place in the 2026 presidential first round, with recent Datafolha polling from early September showing him at 55% against Flávio Bolsonaro at 24% and single-digit support for all others. This positioning reflects the state's status as a Northeast stronghold for the PT, consistent government approval metrics near 60%, and the absence of major campaign events or endorsements that have shifted voter intentions since the formal campaign period began. Trader consensus at 96.1% for Lula aligns with these repeated statewide samples showing double-digit leads over the nearest rival. Potential shifts could arise from late-campaign turnout changes, coalition realignments, or unforeseen legal developments affecting candidate eligibility, though no such factors have materialized in the latest data.
