Mercedes holds a commanding lead in the 2026 Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship, built on early-season dominance following major regulation changes to power units and active aerodynamics. The team’s W17 package delivered multiple victories in the opening rounds, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli and George Russell combining for strong qualifying and race results that established a points buffer exceeding 120 over Ferrari. Consistent double-points finishes and superior car balance have sustained this advantage through recent grands prix, even as Ferrari and McLaren introduced targeted upgrades. With roughly ten rounds remaining, the implied probability reflects Mercedes’ current pace and reliability edge, though sustained development races, mechanical setbacks, or a surge of wins by rivals could narrow the gap before the finale.
