Recent polling for Berlin’s September 20 state election shows the Linke, CDU, AfD, and Grüne clustered within a few points of one another, leaving the identity of the third-placed party highly sensitive to small shifts in voter preferences. The CDU’s replacement of its leading candidate with Stefan Evers has produced modest gains in some surveys, while the AfD has briefly topped individual polls amid broader national trends favoring the party. The Grüne remain competitive but have shown limited momentum. With turnout patterns, late campaign developments, and the final distribution of undecided voters still unresolved, traders view the contest for third place as fluid until election night.
