Trader sentiment on the AI bubble bursting remains cautious, with Polymarket implying low near-term probabilities but rising odds toward late 2026, driven by escalating concerns over frontier lab economics amid explosive demand growth. Recent reports highlight OpenAI's projected $143 billion cumulative losses despite $13 billion revenue, Anthropic's decaying services and inability to meet demand, and Nvidia's $150 billion GPU inventory buildup, fueling fears of a capex slowdown as data center costs soar and community opposition mounts. Yet, surging AI usage—nerfing top models due to compute shortages—and CEO pledges for increased 2026 spending sustain hype. Watch upcoming earnings from Nvidia and hyperscalers, plus open-source advances like DeepSeek V4, which could accelerate a shift to efficient local models and pressure cloud giants.
