Royal Challengers Bengaluru hold a narrow lead atop the IPL 2026 points table with 16 points from 12 matches and a strong NRR of +1.053, but Gujarat Titans' dominant 82-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 12—following a 77-run rout of Rajasthan Royals—has surged them to second on identical points, tightening the top-four race via superior recent form and net run rate edge. SRH slipped to third after the collapse, while Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals lurk close with 12-13 points and favorable remaining fixtures against weaker sides like LSG and DC. CSK's playoff hopes dimmed further with a loss to LSG on May 15, leaving traders pricing a bunched contest where momentum, NRR tiebreakers, and Qualifier 1 positioning will decide the champion path amid high-stakes Eliminator scenarios.
