Nominations for the 2026 VMAs Best Choreography category, announced August 18, set up an unusually tight race among six dance-driven videos, with fan voting open through September 25 shaping trader sentiment ahead of the September 27 ceremony. Harry Styles’ “Dance No More,” featuring Ryan Heffington’s energetic gym-to-disco routines, holds the highest implied probability at 24% due to its playful synchronization and Styles’ established visual appeal, while Tate McRae’s “Nobody’s Girl” follows closely at 21% on the strength of her dancer background and (LA)HORDE’s expressive, identity-focused movement. KATSEYE’s “Pinky Up” benefits from the group’s trademark precision at 17%, and Damien Jalet’s contributions to both Gener8ion’s “Storm” and Madonna’s “Confessions II – The Film” create overlapping momentum that fragments support. Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia,” choreographed by Mandy Moore, trails at 6% despite her overall nomination lead, reflecting how choreography-specific voter priorities can diverge from broader campaigns in this fan-driven category.
