**Apple’s first foldable iPhone, widely expected to debut as the iPhone Ultra at the September 9 event, carries strong analyst consensus around a $2,000-plus starting price.** Ming-Chi Kuo, Mark Gurman, and TrendForce estimates converge on a $2,000–$2,500 range for base models, with higher-storage tiers potentially reaching $2,600–$3,000, driven by premium materials, a book-style design featuring a 5.5-inch cover and 7.8-inch inner OLED display, advanced hinge engineering, and limited initial production volumes. This positions the device well above the iPhone 17 Pro Max and ahead of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold lineup in the premium segment, reflecting Apple’s emphasis on a near-crease-free screen and iOS-optimized multitasking. Limited early supply and a split 2026 launch strategy—foldable and Pro models in fall, standard iPhones potentially later—add scarcity dynamics that traders are weighing against historical premium-product pricing patterns.
