Recent economic data showing Brazil's cooling activity and moderating inflation have positioned a 25-basis-point Selic cut as the market-implied frontrunner for the November Copom decision at 61.5% odds. July IPCA eased to 4.44% year-over-year, while Focus surveys hold the end-2026 Selic projection at 13.75%, consistent with one additional quarter-point reduction from the current 14% level. Political uncertainty ahead of the October presidential election has further supported easing bets by raising prospects of policy shifts in 2027. No-change odds at 35.5% reflect the central bank's data-dependent stance and persistent inflation risks above the 3% target, with limited room priced for larger moves.
