New York Islanders lead trader consensus against a struggling Chicago Blackhawks squad mired in a 1-7-0 start, reflecting their rebuild challenges amid defensive lapses allowing 4.1 goals per game. Key recent developments include Blackhawks captain Nick Foligno's multi-game absence due to an upper-body injury, further thinning forward depth around Connor Bedard, while Islanders defenseman Adam Pelech returns from suspension to bolster their top-four. Ilya Sorokin's .915 save percentage anchors New York's edge in net, with Chicago's home-ice at the United Center providing minor uplift; monitor special teams, where the Isles convert 25% on the power play, as momentum swings could tighten implied probabilities.
