The New Jersey Devils welcome the Chicago Blackhawks to Prudential Center on Sunday night, with New Jersey holding a stronger 37-32-2 record amid a five-wins-in-six hot streak that bolsters their Metropolitan Division wild-card push. Chicago (27-32-13) enters on short rest after a loss to the Rangers, continuing a dismal stretch with eight losses in nine, hampered by injuries to forward Oliver Moore (out until mid-April) and defenseman Matt Grzelcyk (out until March 31). Devils key absences include week-to-week forward Arseny Gritsyuk and defenseman Brett Pesce (out until mid-April), but home-ice advantage and depth from Nico Hischier, Jack Hughes, and Jesper Bratt favor trader consensus. Blackhawks' Connor Bedard provides upset potential in this mismatch.
