Colorado Avalanche lead the Central Division at 48-13-10 with 106 points and have clinched the first Stanley Cup Playoff berth, fueling trader consensus favoring them heavily for the April 16 home matchup against the Seattle Kraken at Ball Arena. The Avs boast a three-game win streak, including a 6-2 rout of Pittsburgh, and dominated their last meeting 5-1 on March 12 behind Nathan MacKinnon's four points. Kraken (32-29-10, 74 points) cling to fourth wild card position amid a middling stretch, hurt by Jaden Schwartz's indefinite absence (upper body) and Jared McCann's day-to-day lower-body issue potentially returning soon. Home-ice advantage and superior power play tilt toward Colorado in the late-season clash with playoff stakes elevated for Seattle.
