Blue Jays head to Chicago for the White Sox home opener on April 2 with momentum from a 2-0 start, including an 8-7 extra-innings walk-off win over the Athletics on March 28 via Ernie Clement's single, highlighting offensive depth despite key injuries like José Berríos (elbow, out until late April), Shane Bieber (elbow inflammation), and Anthony Santander (shoulder). White Sox sit at 0-2 after lopsided losses to the Brewers (14-2 and 6-1), compounded by absences including Mike Vasil (Tommy John, season-ending) and Kyle Teel (hamstring). Dylan Cease (1.69 ERA, 12 K) starts for host White Sox against Toronto's TBD arm from an injury-thinned rotation featuring Cody Ponce, Max Scherzer, and Kevin Gausman recently; early trader consensus reflects Jays' form edge tempered by road test and pitching uncertainty.
