Baltimore Orioles head to Guaranteed Rate Field for a three-game series starting April 6 against the struggling Chicago White Sox, who sit at 1-5 after back-to-back shutouts versus the Marlins, including a 10-0 loss on April 1. The Orioles, 3-3 following a split with Texas, lost rotation depth with Zach Eflin's 15-day IL placement for right elbow discomfort on April 1, leaving probable starters for Monday's opener TBD amid thin pitching for both sides—White Sox hampered by multiple Tommy John recoveries including Ky Bush and Mike Vasil. Baltimore holds strong head-to-head edge (17-3 last 20 meetings), but cool 45°F Chicago weather could favor pitchers in this early-season clash between AL East contenders and Central cellar-dwellers.
