Toronto Blue Jays enter game two of the season-opening series with a 1-0 lead after Andrés Giménez's walk-off RBI single secured a 3-2 victory over the Oakland Athletics yesterday at Rogers Centre, boosting home momentum. Probable starters Jeffrey Springs (LHP) for Oakland and Dylan Cease (RHP) for Toronto set up a pivotal pitching matchup, with Cease's strikeout ability and the Jays' 54-27 home record last season shaping trader consensus. Athletics scratch RF Lawrence Butler from the lineup, impacting outfield depth, while Toronto manages without injured pitchers Shane Bieber (elbow, out until May), Jose Berrios, Yimi Garcia, and OF Anthony Santander on the 10-day IL. Hot early bats like Shea Langeliers (2 HR game one) and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (.333 AVG) loom large in this AL clash.
