Jacopo Berrettini enters as the higher-ranked player at No. 307 against No. 389 lucky loser Michele Ribecai in the ATP Challenger Barletta first round on clay, but trader consensus likely tilts toward Ribecai amid Berrettini's six-match losing streak across recent Challengers and ITF events, including a straight-sets clay defeat to Sascha Gueymard Wayenburg in Split last week. Ribecai gained main-draw entry after reaching the Barletta qualifying final, defeating foes like Federico Bondioli and Luca Rottoli in the past 48 hours for momentum as a home Italian on his preferred surface. No head-to-head exists; both right-handers face off with Berrettini's experience tempered by rust and Ribecai's fresher legs potentially decisive in this evenly poised matchup.
