Juan Pablo Ficovich enters as the clear trader consensus favorite against Mateus Alves in the San Luis Potosi Challenger on outdoor clay, buoyed by his 3-0 head-to-head edge—including a straight-sets 6-3, 6-1 rout in Morelia's round of 32 just six days ago and prior clay wins in Bogota and Campinas. Ficovich, ranked No. 208, arrives in peak form off a Morelia Challenger runner-up finish, defeating quality opponents like Shintaro Mochizuki, Tristan Schoolkate, and Luka Pavlovic en route to the final. Alves, at No. 514, struggles with a 3-5 record this year, exiting early in Morelia qualifiers beforehand. No reported injuries or withdrawals alter the matchup, though clay conditions could test endurance in Mexico's altitude.
