In the Montemar Challenger final on Alicante's outdoor clay, fifth-seeded Pablo Carreno Busta (#117) meets Pablo Llamas Ruiz (#191) in an all-Spanish showdown, with trader sentiment leaning toward the veteran's experience after both posted key semifinal wins yesterday—Carreno Busta rallying past top seed Sebastian Ofner 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, and Llamas Ruiz edging Roman Safiullin 6-4, 7-5. Carreno Busta's path included upsets over fourth seed Pedro Martinez in quarters and Jan Choinski earlier, building on a 1-0 head-to-head edge from their 2025 US Open hard-court clash; his clay baseline prowess contrasts Llamas Ruiz's four-match surge with straight-set romps over Max Houkes and Edas Butvilas, though youth and momentum pose upset risk absent injury concerns.
