Cache remains confined to the CS2 Reserve map pool, absent from the active duty rotation used in majors and competitive matchmaking since its demotion years ago, despite persistent pro player advocacy from stars like s1mple and ZywOo during recent events like the Perfect World Shanghai Major. Valve's last significant map pool tweak came mid-2024 with Anubis' promotion, but no updates in the past 30 days signal Cache's return, leaving trader consensus skeptical ahead of BLAST.tv Austin Major qualifiers. Community polls and patch note watches highlight meta stability favoring current maps like Inferno and Mirage, with upcoming factors including Valve's operation rollout timing and pro tournament feedback potentially swaying future rotations.
