The index traded modestly higher overall amid softer producer and consumer price readings, while oil price swings and elevated Treasury yields introduced volatility; the Fed held the funds rate at 3.50-3.75% with notable dissents. Upcoming catalysts include FOMC minutes, August PMI releases, retail earnings, and Chair communications at Jackson Hole, all of which could shift trader positioning on monetary policy paths and equity momentum.
