The recent announcement that Madonna, Shakira, and BTS will co-headline the first-ever halftime show at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final has anchored trader consensus around this historic addition to the July 19 match at MetLife Stadium. Curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin in partnership with Global Citizen to benefit the education fund, the lineup blends pop, Latin, and K-pop influences to reflect the tournament’s global reach across host nations Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Some soccer traditionalists have voiced concerns over extending the traditional 15-minute break, while others note the show’s alignment with the expanded 48-team format and record viewership projections. With the final weeks away, any last-minute roster adjustments or production details could still influence final positioning in related markets.
