Democratic incumbent Janelle Bynum secured her party's nomination for Oregon's 5th Congressional District by a wide margin in the May 19, 2026, primary. The district, which Bynum flipped from Republican control in 2024, includes Portland suburbs and areas reaching toward Bend. Republican nominee Patti Adair advanced from her primary the same day. Trader consensus reflected in the current odds aligns with the district's recent electoral performance, Bynum's incumbency, and the absence of stronger Republican challengers, though the seat remains subject to national political shifts ahead of the November general election.
