In Slovenia's March 22, 2026, parliamentary election for the 90-seat National Assembly, official results confirm the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) won 28 seats with 27.88% of the vote, solidifying trader consensus at 99.7% odds for under 30 seats—a projection aligned with pre-election polls from mid-March showing SDS at 25-28 seats in a razor-thin race against Prime Minister Robert Golob's Freedom Movement (GS), which took 29 seats. No party secured a majority, spurring complex coalition negotiations excluding SDS from potential unity governments, but the seat tally remains firm amid high 70% turnout. Realistic challenges to this outcome would require successful recounts, legal disputes over vote validity, or rare procedural reversals before final certification by October 31.
