Montreal Canadiens enter their home finale against the New Jersey Devils riding an eight-game win streak, capped by a 4-3 shootout victory over New Jersey last night to open this back-to-back home-and-home series. The surging Canadiens (45-21-10), firmly in playoff contention atop the Atlantic Division, boast strong offensive contributions from Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield amid a five-game point streak, while goaltender Cayden Primeau or Samuel Montembeault could see action after Jakub Dobes' recent start. Devils (39-34-3), hovering near the Metropolitan wild-card edge, face fatigue from the second game in 24 hours plus travel, compounded by injuries to Gritsyuk (surgery), Pesce, Noesen, MacEwen, and potential concerns for John Marino. Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier remain pivotal for New Jersey's push.
