The Detroit Tigers (2-4, third in AL Central) head to Target Field for a key early divisional series against the Minnesota Twins (1-3, fourth place), starting April 6 with Casey Mize (1.50 ERA) probable versus Joe Ryan. Both clubs stumbled out of the gate—Tigers on a four-game skid after their opening series, Twins hampered by ace Pablo López's season-ending Tommy John surgery and 15-day IL stints for David Festa (hamstring) and Travis Adams (triceps). Tigers also miss LHP Bailey Horn (elbow) and Sawyer Gipson-Long (oblique) from the rotation, plus SS Trey Sweeney (shoulder, out until late April). Cold Minneapolis weather (highs near 45°F) and thin air could boost offense in this evenly matched AL Central rivalry opener.
