The Colorado Rockies host the Miami Marlins at hitter-friendly Coors Field amid both teams' dismal seasons, with Colorado at 44-82 and Miami at 44-81 entering the series opener. Trader consensus reflects the Rockies' edge from home altitude boosting offense, where they've hit .260 collectively, versus Miami's road woes (.235 batting average away). Key developments include Rockies starter Cal Quantrill's recent 4.12 ERA over five starts, facing Marlins' Yonny Chirinos (5.40 ERA), while Colorado activated Ezequiel Tovar from the injured list for defensive stability. Miami's bullpen remains taxed post-trade deadline deals, and both squads grapple with injuries—Rockies without Kris Bryant (back), Marlins missing Max Meyer (elbow). Rest advantages favor Colorado after an off-day, with clear skies expected.
