Trader consensus prices Jonathan India, Zack Gelof, Kristian Campbell, and Anthony Volpe tightly clustered at 33-35.5% implied probabilities for AL Comeback Player of the Year, underscoring a fiercely competitive race among young infielders rebounding from injury-plagued or slump-ridden 2025 campaigns. India follows a tough Royals debut post-trade with a fresh mindset and spring training power displays; Gelof overcomes shoulder, hand, and rib issues that limited him to .174 in 30 games for Oakland; Campbell seeks to salvage his rocky Red Sox MLB start after Triple-A promise; Volpe recovers from a left labrum tear that hampered his Yankees production. No early-season separation has emerged as of late March, with health reports and positional versatility fueling equivalent upside in AL Central and East contenders, while veterans like Mike Trout and Yordan Alvarez trail amid recurrence concerns.
